Fusion

The fusion between the symbolic icons of oriental culture is showcased in a seamless integration. The clouds are scattered over the rays of the Rising Sun which symbolises the irreversible history that the icon holds. Being irreversible, Fusion shows that it should be embraced and seen as a significant event in the Japanese history. The Japanese theme is also represented through the Great Wave of Kanagawa. On one side of the box, the two fishes swimming in balance represents Ying and Yang, which symbolises and refers to the balance of forces as well as peace. On the other side is the blooming of a cherry blossom tree. This tree carries great meaning as it brings to light the beginning of new life. The transitions between the elements represents the unity between asian cultures in today's society.
