Bring Back the Birdwing

The Richmond Birdwing Butterfly is native to South East Queensland and faces near extinction due to loss of habitat. The caterpillars of this species survive exclusively on the Birdwing Vine, Aristolochia praevenosa. This plant is now being reintroduced to Brisbane and surrounding regions in an attempt to increase the butterfly’s numbers. I thought this would be a suitable design for this signal box given the initiative is occurring in a local park.
