Whirling Waters

The box is on the junction of Mowbray Park and Woolloongabba. The design is inspired by the fantastic pirate ship playground at the park. The sea is inspired by the Aboriginal meaning of Woolloongabba which is "whirling waters" (woolloon and capemm). The fish are the handprints of seven young children from different parts of the city who meet regularly at their favourite pirate ship playground.
