Urban Smart Project is pleased to announce the date and location for the 2009 Artforce Awards. This year's Award incorporates Queensland's birthday celebrations and the 52 Q150 traffic signal box artworks that have been painted this year. The Award will link the Arts Community, Local and State Government and is designed to celebrate the creative efforts of Brisbane's traffic signal box artists. Everyone who has painted a TSB this year will receive an invitaion in the mail to this all ages, free event.
Traffic signal box art winners in 9 categories will be announced on the night and cash prizes awarded totalling over $3,300. Award categories for TSBs painted from 01/11/2008 to 31/11/2009 are Overall Winner, Best Q150, Best Indigenous Artist, Best Under 18, Best Under 12, Best Organisation, Best School, Best Reconciliation.
